1) Pioneer Venus Orbiter(PVO) Daily Trajectory Data maxmize
Resource ID:spase://VSPO/NumericalData/PioneerVenusOrbiter/Ephemeris/PT24H
Start:1978-12-06 00:00:00 Observatory:Pioneer Venus Orbiter Cadence:24 hours
Stop:1992-10-08 00:00:00 Instrument:PVO Positions Resource:NumericalData
This data set contains trajectory data from the Pioneer Venus Orbiter. It includes the radial distance of Venus from the sun, and solar ecliptic coordinates of Venus with respect to true equinox and ecliptic of date.

2) Pioneer Venus Orbiter (PVO) 10-min field and plasma data maxmize
Resource ID:spase://VSPO/NumericalData/PioneerVenusOrbiter/OMAG-OPA/PT10M
Start:1978-12-06 00:00:00 Observatory:Pioneer Venus Orbiter Cadence:10 minutes
Stop:1988-08-07 00:00:00 Instrument:Magnetometer (OMAG) Resource:NumericalData
Ten-min averaged values of PVO field and plasma parameters are given. Users may plot or list one of two sets of parameters. The first has time, RBx, RBy, RBz,|B|, V, Np, Tp, perp pressure. The second has time, perp pressure, dynamic pressure, entropy. Spacecraft position data are included on listings. Data are mostly from solar wind orbit phases

3) Pioneer Venus Orbiter(PVO) hourly averaged magnetic field data maxmize
Resource ID:spase://VSPO/NumericalData/Pioneer_Venus/MAG/PT1H
Start:1978-12-06 00:00:00 Observatory:Pioneer Venus Orbiter Cadence:1 hour
Stop:1988-08-07 00:00:00 Instrument:Magnetometer (OMAG) Resource:NumericalData
This data set includes hourly averages of the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude and vector components measured by the Pioneer Venus Orbiter. The magnetic field data and spacecraft coordinates are provided in the Venus Solar Observer (VSO) system. Data collection periods inside the Venusian bow shock have been removed and hour averages have computed for those data points. Note that the BT values are computed from magnitudes of high resolution (1/4 sec.) vectors and are actually overlapped two-hour averages computed every hour to avoid potential aliasing effects from non-overlapping averages. The vector component averages are also overlapped in the same manner. Also note that BT will generally be higher than the magnitude of the hour-average field vector, so the latter should not be used to compute magnitude. Data records for hours 8-10 of July 3, 1979 have been removed since the data values are erroneous. Two-minute overlapping averages without the bow shock cuts were previously archived at NSSDC as dataset 78-051A-12G for data from 1978-12-06 through 1984-09-30 (this data set now extends through 1992-10-08, the end of the PVO mission). Detailed questions on the removal procedure should be directed to Chris Russell. This data was supplied by Janet Luhmann (now at UC-Berkeley) and Muriel Kniffen of the UCLA PVO magnetometer team in support of PVO data archiving and the COHO program. A transformed version of this data set in heliographic & RTN coordinates may be found in COHO directory PIONEER_VENUS/MERGED and can also be plotted on-line using the COHOWeb system.

4) Pioneer Venus Orbiter(PVO) hourly averaged plasma data maxmize
Resource ID:spase://VSPO/NumericalData/Pioneer_Venus/OPA/PT1H
Start:1978-05-21 00:00:00 Observatory:Pioneer Venus Orbiter Cadence:1 hour
Stop:1992-10-07 00:00:00 Instrument:Retarding Potential Analyzer (ORPA) Resource:NumericalData
This data set holds hourly data for the interplanetary solar wind near Venus from the Plasma Analyzer (OPA) experiment on the Pioneer Venus Orbiter spacecraft. Data coverage includes cruise (enroute to Venus from Earth, May - Dec. 1978) and orbital (Dec. 1978 to Oct. 1992) mission phases up through loss of telemetry on Oct. 8, 1992 before atmospheric entry. The data consist of hourly-averages of the derived plasma parameters for every spectrum returned by the OPA. Each record consists of the spacecraft ID, the date of the record, the hour of the day (spacecraft event time) at the start of the record, reserved (but not used) space for the magnetic field and its azimuthal and polar angles, the proton temperature (K), and the plasma density (cm-3), bulk speed (km/sec), and azimuthal and polar flow angles (degrees). Also included in each record is the RMS dispersion of the derived, averaged quantities. Measurements made inside the Venusian bow shock were mostly excluded. The ASCII hourly data here are described in plain text files (*.txt). Orbital data in heliocentric or Venus-centered coordinates are provided with both datatypes. The hourly data may also be browsed, plotted, and retrieved through the COHOWeb data system. Merged solar wind magnetic field and plasma data from PVO, transformed into more convenient heliographic/RTN coordinates, are available in COHO directory PIONEER_VENUS/MERGED.
